Great sound of the start-up of the 14-cylinder Wright R-2600 engines on the North American B-25 bomber. These engines are rated at approximately 1,800 horsepower. This engine also powered several other WWII aircraft including but not limited to the Douglas A-20 Havoc, Curtiss SB2C Helldiver and the Grumman TBF/TBM Avenger. LOUD, smokey and beautiful!

  • MINI BOMBARDEIRO ! ! ! ! ...... caracas .... ninguém merece ! !

Gostei. Qual a filmadora que usou e onde foi filmado ?

    Abraços.

  • @rogenes1: O vídeo foi gravado en Chino aeroporto e Edwards Air Force Base, ambos en California. O B-25 é de propiedade do Planes of Fame Museum en Chino. Cámara foi a GS400 Panasonic con micrófono externo, que é esencial para captar o son correctamente. Moitas grazas!

  • this mini-bomber looks amazing! on the right side of the cabin those are cannons right?

ah, this radial engine have just one exhaust? but why i see smoke coming out from under the engine from something that seems just a vent port (or that's an exhaust) ?

    tank you!

  • @dallatorretdu: The B-25 Mitchell was classified as a "medium" bomber, as opposed to a heavy bomber such as the Boeing B-17, B-24, B-29, etc. The engines have multiple exhausts without exhaust-driven TURBOchargers (like the B-17, etc.) that accounts for the rather raucous engine sound (the engines have gear-driven SUPERchargers, of course). The guns on the sides of the fuselage (below the pilots' positions) are 50-caliber Browning M2 machine guns that were called "cheek guns."

  • @octane130 Melhor do que essa gravação com boa qualidade de som e imagem, seria ter também o cheiro dos motorer Wright deste belo B-25! Este avião fez história!!

  • I wish I could see this this often in Michigan

  • @dallatorretdu Originally they all had short stack exhaust which means each cylinder had its own exhaust as seen on the bottom cowling but the single side pipe is a recent addition for heat control.

  • @ct1600 I know ;-)

  • Nicely Captured. Great sound. Obviously you could boldly go where no man can usually go. haha - great access to some prime spots! *envy*

  • @YoungJim409 I have to admit. That's part of a Rush song. :)
