  • I can't get this to work at all.... just keeps on coming up Could not Connect to server. I've tried opening the ports, tried everything you said, followed the steps precisely. Even installed the Wyse Pocketcloud Companion thing on Windows. :\

  • @MrJondread have you tried making sure your firewall is turned off, also one thing i didn't make entirely clear in the vid was the ip address you type in the router when you're forwarding the port to the specific computer, that ip address is the internal ip most likely will start with 192 or 10 or 172

  • Does the computer your using have to be turned on? Also will the actions I do change my pc or not?

  • @heywatchadoin1 the computer does have to be turned on and i'm not quite sure what you mean by "change my pc"

  • i cant get this to work. the RDP to port fail's and the

vnc to port is successful i tried the VNC and it fail's as well to communicate. phone replies "Session Disconnected" i tried with my local network and i tried with my 4g brod ban.

RDP i did the same and i cant get it to work...i exhausted every IP address and combo i cant get it to work i must of watched this video 6 times.

plz reply i wish to buy this program. and i cant get it to work..

  • @ventoruse in the other comments i go over one big issue that's the two ip addresses you will need for this process one is the external ip and the other is the internal ip this one will usually start with 192 or 10 or 172 the external one you can find through google but to find the internal one(this is the one that you forward the port to) you can find through cmd by doing an ipconfig

  • Great job! Thank you for posting this how-to. I have Verizon FiOS and I had to hunt around to find the Port Forwarding section (actually it has to different types of Port Forwarding configuration settings), but I got it working and I am very pleased. Thanks again

  • I do not really anderstand the part of the router cuz I bell router and I don't know how to fix that

  • i did everything you said and it still wont work

  • great video.

one thing, use the ip address found in the command prompt:

    Start button

    (in search bar) type "cmd"

    enter

    type "ipconfig"

scroll up until you find the I Pv4 address

...i used this address and it worked for me.

there is also a downloadable program on the WYSE website which finds your device automatically (if you are on the same wi-fi connection) which also works.

not useful for the folks who want to access their computer from anywhere but it is very convenient.
