2009 Egyptian Event Top 10 Yearling Filly
Thee Asseefah, meaning 'the storm' in Arabic, was aptly named after the Texas storm that accompanied her birth in the spring of 2008. DSA Thee Asseefah descends in tail female line to one of Gleannloch's imported foundation mares, and later a US National Top Ten Mare, *Romanaa II. She shares this exceptional dam line with the well respected breeding stallions Rofann and Abu Arab, as well as the notable mares Bint Romanaa and Bint Bint Romanaa. This dam line has been consistently producing excellent quality chestnut mares for well over a hundred years, extending into many foundation mares owned and bred by the famous UK breeder Lady Anne Blunt, and then later the dam line repeated the same standard of quality in the Gleannloch herd.
DSA Thee Asseefah is sired by the exceptionally successful US National Reserve Champion Stallion Thee Desperado. The quality exhibited by Thee Desperado was no accident. Also a Gleannloch descendant in his tail female line, Thee Desperado traces to the fantastic producing Gleannloch import *Nabilahh, dam of the famous *Morafic son Khofo. The *Nabilahh dam line is in turn rooted in the repeatedly proven gem of a foundation mare Yosreia. Yosreia was the dam of Russian foundation stallion Aswan, and progenitor also of Egyptian Event Supreme Champion Stallion Richter MH's dam line.
DSA Thee Asseefah shed her bright chestnut foal coat and turned a deep liver chestnut color, a pleasant surprise indeed! DSA Thee Asseefah's extreme type and superstar pedigree places her in line to become an accomplished show horse and broodmare.
