Blanching okra before freezing would be new to me, so I am curious as to what, if any, are the consequences of NOT blanching okra before freezing? For example, why is it more important to blanch something like okra, but not onions?

Thank you for the so helful tip :) One quick question that may sound stupid :) Why boil them ? Doesn't it remove the nutrient value of the vegetables? Thanks!

@patoche360 ... It's called blanching. It's done with most vegetables before freezing if you don't plan on eating them right away......Donald
