Here's Mikayla Gilbreath (16) playing a solo (spontaneous improvisation) on "Bang That Wall, Harvey" with DVHS Performance Jazz Ensemble. Mikayla's sister Briana (15) is the baritone sax player for the band and plays with her sister during the sax soli on this video. The crowd of approximately 500 people gave the band a standing ovation after this performance.

Mikayla plays alto and soprano sax, as well as clarinet and flute. Briana plays all four principal saxes (alto, tenor, soprano, and baritone). Briana also plays clarinet, bass clarinet, french horn, trumpet, and on and on. Unfortunately, both Mikayla and Briana have quit playing music for now. I hope that one day they will resume, but they have no plans currently.
