Thor #8

This is one of my favorite new books. I am new to the title I love the writing, the tone of the book and themes it carries and the art is incredible. The current arch comes to a fitting end as Thor finds closer for his guilt in not being able to bring his father back and the two of them stand side by side in battle in another great battle with Surtur and the father and son team lay the hurt on. There is a great twist in the search for Sif, who has not been able to return as her spirit is trapped within a mortal body and the appearance of this new female Loki type character. I have totally been drawn in and for the first time since Adventures in Baby Sitting I am a Thor fan. Strazynski's style is very well suited for the character and the art is exiting and grand. The next issue looks like a great issue to get in on but only 8 issues in there are not that many back issues to go and pick up. I start my hunt tomorrow.

Thor is the best. Love the short vid. I agree I like how he comes back on his winning streak against, ironman, destroyer, surtur, and soon to be red hulk.

riiight. thor has been fighting for thousands of years. that means thor has thousands of more years worth of fighting experience that no one else does. bottom line when it comes to fighting he's forgotten more than anyone else has learned. add that to the fact that he's strong, durable, and controlls the elements, nobody should be able to fuck with that accept for a few, like galactus, ares, and hercules, and the hulk depending on how consumed by his rage he's become.

@dontjudgeme973 bro i read the odin vs thanos comic he didnt whoop his ass thanos took the everything he had and odin said do you yield villian thanos said no it was a draw neither died or was hurt thats not a ass whoopin i get tired of thor fans talking about this comic that way cause it was in the 90s and most dont know what really happned on the thor beating him part he beat a clone of thanos with some armor that he got from a troll in asgard thanos has beaten tougher folk

As for thanos, yea he's back and is for the most part, more powerful than thor. Although i do believe thor beat im ONCE while not enhanced by the power gem or anything of that nature. I do know that Odin whooped his ass though.

@lordt82 Red had a clear win in round 1 due to a good game plan that surprised thor. A humbling experience for thor and thor fans alike. In round 2 thor hit rulk so hard that RED HULK admitted to being nearly killed. I see absolutely no nut riding in any of my points. Its a subjective opinion that I can prove through exact quotes and issue citations. Sounds like ur 2 much of a child to take a different opinion with too small of a vocab to express the pain hearing 1 brings u.

@Lordlt82 in the very next issue you see that Thor is unharmed by Red Hulk's ingenious strategy and outrageous strength. He then returns to earth and blasts the red giant with lightning bolts. Just before he lands the killing blow, a-bomb convinces him to stop. Even the "rulk" admitted to being helpless against thors attack

Jeph Loeb hates Thor and Stan Lee. He wanted to show off what his new Creation can do. Just as bad as Superman losing to Venom.

I doesn't matter what Color Hulk it is, but they're no match for the J.Michael Stracynski Thor in Thor# 600.
