The golf resort is in Soma Bay on the Red Sea and 30 minutes away from nearby Hurghada. Gary Player and his team certainly performed magic when designing this course. It is in good taste and displays a keen sense of drama for a challenging game. The 18 holes wrap around the hotel complex like pearls on a string, and are positioned in all wind directions. This means you sometimes play a hole with the wind and then immediately after against the wind. The wind is also the courses best defence; particularly during the first part of the day you will be confronted with often very severe gusts of wind.
