@thybuilder i'm very skinny and i own at video games. I only know 2 fat gamers in my college group. I have 30 awesome friends in my group. (Only 2 are fat) You can play video games and still be active. I do however hate that gaming tourneys are still heavily represented by cod and halo. It fuckin sucks. I'm a freakin beast at the ssb series and mortal kombat but i barely ever see any tourneys on either.

@thybuilder - you could say the same about multiple other occupations. what these kids make isn't even a patch on even most minor league sports, and 84k is at the fat end. most kids go home with nothing.
it's a "sport" in the way something like chess or even snooker/pool is a sport. it does take skill and practice, but it's not like people are gonna be burning calories from it. and though there are some fat kids, remember that most of these kids are teens and a long way off getting fat.

@TheMageGames I agree that for the most part MLG has been about Halo... But to be fair, it's Sundance, Sepso and Puckett started out with. It was their base that they happened to get involved in and it went from there. It's a lot more representative now with multiple streams, multiple main stages and equal commentary, though there is still a bias towards Halo and FPS.
