Andrew WK took cheesy Japanese songs with horrible lyrics and directly translated them into retarded sounding synth-ridden shit with no rhythm or beat
Kotzen took those same songs and made them into solid, contemporary English rock and pop songs with lyrics that made more sense for anyone who isn't a weaboo and a voice that didn't rape the ears.
