  • @ThePsycoticboxman Great contact! I hope to have a nice setup like that one day. Yeah, that's the same radio my grandpa has in his Land Cruiser. Would be great to see more videos of your quos for sure! I was surprised at the quality of the video also. I have an old HF base station, but since I don't have my general yet, I have yet to plug in the mic. If you are interested, I have started a ham site (not real technical, just fun) The Internet Movie Radio Database. Anyway, keep it up and 73! N7GAR

  • @RockRacer1982 well, thats great! my dad started working with ham radios when he was younger than me. i think he started when he was 14 or 15. he now has 20 ham radios to work with!

  • @ThePsycoticboxman I figured and no worries. It's a lot to know. My dad (and gramps, and other family members) got me into it.

  • @RockRacer1982 yes, i was the camera man! i hardly know the names of these radio's. my dad is the one that knows them all and he's the real ham radio oporator.

  • @ThePsycoticboxman I assume you might have been the "cameraman"? Yeah, the 706 is the Icom ham radio used.

  • @RockRacer1982 your welcome! but, what it a 706? is it a type of intenna or a type of radio?

  • That is cool. I hope to purchase a 706 and make contacts like that in the near future. Thanks for sharing.
