you know when you think about it we don't have a right to use these girls, 20% die with egg peritonitis too, 50% male chicks gassed or churned up alive, 90% of hens killed early in their life's, all because some are greedy, have any of us really sat back and understood chickens, if we did we would respect them and not use them and fight for their justice everyday, we should know best, its the same as the milk industry, we are the only species to drink milk after been weaned , we are sick

@clairemorgan Thanks for telling me. I'm glad that at least one of those poor birds was saved. And at least the other didn't die in vain, if its body helped to make this commercial, thereby getting the message out about the cruelty of batteries.

The dead chicken they used was from a battery farm- the same farm that the live one was liberated from.

For some reason I forgot how easy it is to fake a death for the camera. Now I'm a little weirded out because I realize it's an actual dead chicken. But at least it was actually killed for the reason the ad says it was. I seem to remember a PETA ad where an animal was presented as having been killed for fur, when their site said it really died of natural causes.
