Where I live, Ohio) we are not allowed to put leaves or yard cuttings in plastic bags. They get piled at the curb to bre picked up or have to go in paper lawn waste bags that are not a negative to the environment. Don't you have to do this where you live?

Once you rake all your leaves together, use it to scoop the pile in. For the last layer, lay it on the ground, rake the leaves on, lift the ends and dump in to the trash. Alternately you may use it to hold the bag open and rake directly in.
