@parakeethands How do you know that God as "determined". You said it yourself that God is Sovereign. So to say he is doing it this and not that. How do you know? By one verse? Personally I think that is taking way out of context but not knowing the mind of God for myself, I dare not judge what He is rightful judge of.

When the gavel falls. The gavel has already fallen in eternity past. It's called Predestination. God is sovereign and has determined what will come to pass, who will be saved, who will be damned, the days of our lives, etc.
