RAPS Static Line Course at Skydive Langar

BASIC SKYDIVING COURSE: Two day course teaching all the skills required to jump from 3,500 feet using an automatically-opened 'square' gliding parachute. This is the first stage in a progressive system leading to becoming a fully qualified skydiver. A reasonable degree of physical fitness is necessary.

British Parachute Schools at Skydive Langar is the UK's busiest civilian Skydiving Centre (around 29,000 jumps a year) and has provided top-class services year-round for both Beginning and Experienced Skydivers since 1977. We fly 16-place turbine-powered Cessna Grand Caravan aircraft.

For Beginners (no experience required!) we offer three options:

TANDEM SKYDIVING: The quick and easy way to try skydiving! Skydive from 14,000 feet securely attached to a specially qualified Instructor, following a short briefing. Open to all, many less able participants welcome. About 50 seconds in freefall, and 4 or 5 minutes under the parachute - you can even help to steer it!

BASIC SKYDIVING COURSE: Two day course teaching all the skills required to jump from 3,500 feet using an automatically-opened 'square' gliding parachute. This is the first stage in a progressive system leading to becoming a fully qualified skydiver. A reasonable degree of physical fitness is necessary.

ACCELERATED FREEFALL: Our intensive course - become a qualified skydiver in one week, or just go for the first jump to see how you like it! The first day is given over to detailed ground training. Skydives take place over the following days, progressing over eight levels of achievement, usually involving eight skydives. Your very first skydive will be made from 14,000 feet accompanied by two Instructors who continue to teach you while you fall. You are in charge of opening your parachute (and your Instructors are still there just in case!). The best way to take up skydiving as your sport!
