This is my first tank ever. It's a 40 gallon acrylic truvu tank. I am running a Rena XP3 canister filter and an aquaclear 30 power head. For more aeration, I am also running a Tetra Whisper 50 air pump and a 15" bubble strip. I used black tahitian moon sand for my substrate and some bowl rock for caves/decoration.

I currently have 4 fish and a crab. I know I have one psuedotropheus demasoni. He is the smallest of the bunch. I am having trouble identifying what species the others are so, if you know, please leave me a comment or a message with the correct species name. The crab likes to hide...next time he is out I will make another video.

  • Thanks for all the comments. I got plenty more fish and rock in my other video. The fish are growing and starting to pick apart the smaller fish.

  • nice settup a few more fish will top it off nice..

  • the yellow is labidochromis caeruleus yellow

    the orange is Metriaclima estherae

and the purple i think that is Pseudotropheus ater if it has vertical stripes then it is cynotilapia not sure cause you have bad quality.. cheers!

  • The yellow fish is a yellow lab cichlid and the orange one is called a red zebra. I'm not to sure about the other one. Looks a little cloudy but overall great tank. Could use a few more fish too.
