  • Nice spoiler warnings. Smooooth.

  • @BornOfSong - I don't think there's any spoilers in there..

  • @S0nicH I want to first sincerely apologize. I came off as, to put it kindly, an arse. The spoiler I alluded to but foolishly did not mention was the mentioning that Laura's mother is alive. I am unfamiliar with the franchise as my last playing session was years ago on the ps1 and I have forgot all that I accomplished. The games (Anniversary, Legend, and Underworld) were on sale on Steam however so I picked them up.

I skipped a minute to avoid spoilers but I did like your review a good bit.

  • @BornOfSong - Heh, no problem. You learn that your mum might be alive quite early on (it's the main plot driver) so it's not much of a spoiler :)

  • By the way, what microphone are you using? I gave it a second listen and you voice comes through pretty good. I am in the market myself for a decent mic.

  • @BornOfSong - I use a Samson C01U USB Condenser mic. It's about £60 and really good. I do put a few audio FX on my recording to give it a bit of depth, but it's a great mic for the money.

  • The dumbing down of games seems to me to have come with the bigger productions and the higher expenses involved in making games.

It seems developers are afraid of alienating the casual gamers in order to cash in on the huge investments.

Remember, Tomb Raider started on consoles and I have a lot of older console titles which doesn't have this problem.

However, I do agree it has gotten a lot worse with the 360 and ps3.

I choose to call it the "Hollywood syndrome".

    Nice review (as always).

  • U were right on everything but one thing no fucking bosses makes the game feel bigger and it makes the game more scary and every one likes a horror loved killing that big spider and that in the ps one virsions any way new one is cumming out soon just pre orderd it on amazon life goes on hope it's a good one nice review by the way :D

  • @S0nicH First off I want to apologize. I came off as, to put it kindly, an arse. I was referring to, though foolishly forgot to mention, the part where you mention the mother being alive. I only have played the franchise long ago on the ps1 so it has largely been forgotten. I have now purchased Anniversary, Legend, GoL, and Underworld.

I want to mention that, beyond the minute I skipped to avoid spoilers, I did very much so enjoy your review. I suspect that spoiler is learned quickly.
