Although I am sure John and Margaret will be very happy together, their marriage will have a couple of problems to sort through. John's mother and sister don't really accept or like Margaret and considering that Thornton is a bit of a mama's boy, this could lead to quite a few sparks flying. It's nothing that can't be dealt with though, and both of them are definitely capable of working it out. :)
