U2's mellow, finished arrangement of their song 'Winter' from Jim Sheridan's 2009 film Brothers (a remake of the Danish film of the same name by writer/director Susanne Bier). This song originated during the sessions for U2's 2009 studio album No Line on the Horizon, produced by Danny Lanois and Brian Eno, a different version of this track was featured in Anton Corbijn's visual companion to the album 'Linear'.

At first I didn't like this version, but I've grown to like it a lot too! It was made for a movie so it had to be slowed down to fit the theme of the movie.

This was a very meaningful movie, it touched me deep inside, I hate this war so much. You only get to live this life this one time, here on this earth, this life we are living is truely amazing and there have been hundred's of thousands of young men who have died for this country and could not live this life to the fullest because of the sacrifice they chose for us, to ensure that we continue living in this great country, America, I just wish their lives did not have to come to an end in war.

And yeah, it's really sad that so many good men died in war but what almost nobody of you understands: We know about the risks and how easily one can die ! We are soldiers and believe in fighting for something that really counts and helps people. I don't know any better chance to help people and if it means that one can die we have to accept it.

We made our decision !! Rest in peace comrades ..
