do you have the tanja szewczenko's long program ???
-
@premierrules : I agree totally. Nobody has brought out the kind of joy and pleasure that Ito was able to capture in her performances.
-
@mlc2005 Yes, perhaps I did get a little carried away with my sweeping statement. I was a fan of Michelle Kwan but she did not have the same effect as Witt did on me. I found Kwan's programmes rather 'heavy going' at times although her artistry was great. For pure personality, my favourites were Liz Manley and the fantastic Midori Ito who is my all time favourite I have to say.
-
@premierrules : I really like her too, and admire her nerves of steel, but come on. "Nobody has matched her artistry and musical interpretation." You must not like Kwan at all, who is without a doubt the greatest in that department. Even Witt has admitted that publicly.

thank you for posting. i wish we had this in HD

This program is still my favourite program of all-time. Katarina is an absolute artist on the ice and this program came from such a beautiful place that clearly reflects Katarina's character. A lovely tribute to the people of Sarajevo. I agree, this was a magic moment and somewhere in the stars it was written that Katarina would skate to Pete Seeger's masterpiece and create a marvelous moment in history. I don't care if she lands any jumps,I could watch her all day long.Always a 6.0 for me.

In the Euro's LP, Kati dublefooted the second triple Salchow, made a step-out performing the second triple Toe-loop and singled the final Axel.

its tough for skaters to come back after a year off, imagine how difficult it was to come back after SIX years! and place 7th at the olympics...i think that's a huge success for a brilliant skater.

Yes, definitely her best performance of that routine. She was VERY brave coming back 6 years after winning Olympics. Nobody has matched her in artistry and musical interpretation. Lovely music and beautiful style. Kati - Ich liebe dich noch!
katarina really was a dancer on ice. she responded and interpreted music beautifully. i miss the old judging system when a skater could tell a story and not just be constantly skating and bending and flailing their arms calling it footwork.
