The 'alternatives' and hipsters, on the whole, seem to value racial and economic/social equality much higher than the average American. However, like everyone else, they don't get to change city/country around them to match them. So this seems like an odd line of attack.

Actually this is wrong. PBR simply tasted better. As Malcolm Gladwell pointed out, PBR was the last independent mass-market brewery whilst the rest: Coors, Buddweiser, Miller had all become contract-breweries by 1980. This system has inherent problems with quality control so these companies rely upon image-oriented mass-advertising campaigns for sales.

The alternative-types in Portland, SLC, etc, who were often well-educated and low-income choose products based on high quality and low price.

There are SOOO many way-cool places like that here (Portland)! It's amazing! Best radio stations in the country too (if you like rock)!

Recently, I got an sweet offer to live in Seattle. No way. Seattle cannot touch this place for soul, character, coolness, uniqueness and weirdness. Portlandia, baby ... my home ... hooha!

Actually, Portlandia (Portland) is my home. I'm a little shy of age 60. What I love about Portlandia (this whole area) is that The Counterculture lives here. My culture is The 1960s Counterculture. It's here in abundance!

The Mainstream Culture is about more money, more power, more greed, more dominance, period. The real rulers (behind the scenes) are criminally insane and are driving EVERYTHING into the ground.

In Portlandia, there is hope!!
