Local commercial break from WEVU-TV, Fort Myers, FL
From an ABC Good Morning America broadcast.
Spot playback would have been from an Avid AirPlay system.
Seems there may have been some issues with the audio. Phase cancellation perhaps? The promo for the news is completely silent. Perhaps the AirPlay wasn't working as expected?
You'll see Harry Horn and Paul Kenny in the promo, even though you can't hear them/
At the end is a legal ID with Mitch Craig's VO on it/
Anyway, the Avid AirPlay was the first video server based commercial playback system in the Southwest Florida market. It was based on a Macintosh computer with a Truvision graphics card. It was pre-AVBV, so the resolution was 640x480. (NuVista based I believe)
