This documentary is all about hoodoo and voodoo. German interest in harnessing Vril energy (free energy) was based on science. Vril energy was an esoteric name for 'Null-punkts-energie' or 'zero-point energy'.

The existence of ZPE was proposed by Albert Einstein, Otto Stern and Max Planck. Physicist Walther Nernst postulated that space is filled with radiation that has its origin in the quantum energy field. NASA is studying how to use this free energy for propulsion...so far no luck!
