NRA And The Second Amendment:
Patrick Henry put it, the "great object is that every man be armed . . . . Everyone who is able may have a gun." James Madison, who noted in the Federalist Papers that Americans had "the advantage of being armed," which was lacking in other countries, where "the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms," authored the Second Amendment. It was based on the Virginia bill of rights--and similar protections against state interference with that fundamental right.
The Founding Fathers distrusted a government which wouldn`t trust the people regardless of the level of government. The authors of the Bill of Rights made it clear that individual rights were at issue. Madison wrote that the Bill of Rights was "calculated to secure the personal rights of the people." and Albert Gallatin, later to serve as Jefferson`s Treasury Secretary, said "lt establishes some rights of the individual as unalienable and which consequently, no majority has a right to deprive them of."
Since the adoption of the Second Amendment--"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed"--there have been two methods of trying to destroy that fundamental freedom.

Isaiah 2:4 And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
Joel 3:1 Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong.

Also on a side note, most guns can be kept if they are deactivated so they cannot fire again, so the "I lost a family heirloom, blabla" doesn't hold water.

@oneidea2112 Hierarchies are not the problem, we need them to survive; as in parent - child. I see it as, when the members on any level become destructive to the system’s Rights, the system will become distressed or it will die. It is through this destructive Nature that promotes change and evolution resulting in relativistic diversity in perpetual conflict. We need conflict for evolution. I discuss this in part 2 on my channel video. I will check out Podoisky site, thanks!

@Mike10four as long as there are hierarchies there will always be a struggle for power. I invite you to check out my friend Bob Podolsky's site titanians (.) org Bob is the son of Boris Podolsky who together with Albert Einstein came up with EPR. Bob has made me aware that the cause of all the problems in the world are hierarchies vying for control. I would enjoy your feedback on his site.
