At least 10 people have been killed and 78 injured in the Afghan city of Kandahar during a protest over the burning of the Koran in the U.S. The violent demonstration follows the burning of the Muslim holy book last month by American pastor Terry Jones. On Friday, a similar protest in the Afghan city of Mazar-i-Sharif led to the deaths of 7 workers at the local UN office.

The Afghans really mean well but many of them have not changed there in underwear in a decade. The chaffing tends to make them a little violent.
