Final Fantasy V wasn't released under a different number. It was re-released with Final Fantasy VI for the PS1 in '99, and it was re-released again for the GBA in November of 2006.
The only Final Fantasy games to be released under different numbers were Final Fantasy IV (II), and Final Fantasy VI (III).
