I don't have anything against NSW cops in general (although I've run into many assholes). They can't exactly just spit the dummy and walk off the job, or not do as they told. It's the people above them.

The NSW Police force (the people employed to serve the NSW people) are already underfunded and under staffed as it is. Even now if you call 000 for help, it can be hours before they turn up. Given that so many of them were in the city during this time to protect George Bush, I wonder how many citizens suffered at the hands of their states decision to provide them with in adequate policing. APEC would not be a time I'd want to need police assistance at home as they'd all be in the city! Dumb
