the patrol is not better than the defender, but the driver is. a 110 would be better. try using the small gear lever and engage diff lock.

Actually the Defender if great for this sort of terrain - not sure wots happening here.
Interesting Fact - Did you know, despite the defenders height - it has one of the lowest centres of gravity of any 4wd including any 4wd toyota or nissian product.

Looks like the Landy didnt make it because he doesnt have axel-lock (rear and front, but rear ist more important). Usually it doesnt matter because compared to mercedes G and Pajero the axel have a good crossing-ability (dont know if this is the right english word). However in this case it does matter! Buy the landy rear diff-locks and he will go up this hill
