  • Like Charlton Heston, he didn't attempt to disguise his voice!

  • Notice that when he was exiting, Arlene called him "Uncle Joe E." She must have had real affection for him.

  • Mr. Brown was married to Kathryn McGraw from 1915 till his death in 1973. R I P sir.

  • "I'm a MAN!"

    "Well, nobody's perfect."

  • I love how the crowd cheered Joe, after John gave him that wonderful, respectful testimony of Joe's great career. Joe is wonderful and everyone should know of his work! Thanks for posting this!

  • Absolutely the best... Very hard for anyone to match Joe's qualities!

  • My mother saw Joe. E. Brown in the stage play Harvey and she would tell me that he was so convincing in his portrayal of Elwood. P Dowds. That you could almost see the six foot rabbit Harvey. Because of his short stature when he would look up at Harvey He would really play the part very convincingly. I first learned of Mr. Brown and many other great actors through my mother who was also involved in theater locally in the forties.

  • Arelene should have gotten a "no" on that long, early question about media ...

  • "What's My Line" was a great show with a great host and great panel and great guests and even the commercials were great.

  • Joe E. Brown was... is a national treasure.
