Wow, TDOT did a very great job of fixing up I-40! The drive along Neyland Drive was great too, as someone who's always wanted to see the football stadium. LOL, I suppose the fact I've seen the University of Georgia football stadium is better than nothing.

Still hoping you eventually do get around to filming the Athens, GA bypass!

Neyland stadium looks like a giant erector set from that road, it's pretty cool to see such a legendary venue.

For whatever reason Athens is just not somewhere I seem to go (although I have been to 3 UGA games in my life, someone else drove, lol).

Thanks, I really struggled with that footage, left about half of it out.

It's a decent freeway system for a city it's size.

@cochrab I agree with you 100%! I drove down there from New Jersey in 2009 and I must say that whole trip left a lasting impression on me. That drive through Virginia to Tn didn`t seem real because it was such a beautiful drive down I-81 through I-40. It was six hours drive through that part of getting there and I didn`t want it to end. They have a great bunch of folks down there in Tennessee. I met someone from NJ that lives down there and he said he`d never leave that state.

they did a nice job on that section of 40. I haven't been on it since completion, but that old narrow elevated section sorely needed replacement.

I got to walk on SmartFix40 last fall with several fellow roadgeeks on a TDOT tour.

All the videos you do are awesome, I love road travel, but sadly, this is only the third video where I've been where you are driving.

I've been in both Neyland Stadium and Thompson-Boiling Arena (not while they were in use for sports however) and they are both amazing stadiums, the view from the Skyboxes in Neyland is ridicilious.
