"Each Peach, Pear, Plum", "Peepo" and "The Jolly Postman" just some of the classic children's stories from the pen of Allan Ahlberg. Together with his wife Janet, who illustrated thirty seven of the books before her death 14 years ago, the best selling Black Country author regulary appears on the "most popular" lists for public libraries. With a new book due out next month our reporter Lindsay Doyle joined him in his writer's den, an especially built shed at the bottom of his garden, for the latest in our series "Write Around the Midlands".
