What makes you think going to jail makes people stop doing drugs? Often times they come out with worse drug problems than they did coming in. Also, because of the huge mark they have on their record and gap in their resume, they have less chance to turn their life around.

***Id like to add, however, that not only drugs support terrorist groups, but human trafficking and basically any other international crime does, as well. Drugs are only a small part of it, and its not just from america. Marijuana is usually local, but how can you know for sure unless you know he/she has his own plants?

Those guys are paying bigger bucks to the "g"s above them, who are getting it from texas, (or mexico), south america, or even europe. Those guys are dealing in the cookies, upwards of 25,000 and up. Look at Pablo Escobar. He was a saint in his country cuz he used his drug money to take care of people in the community. In america, he was just a drug dealer. But he had enough money to fund whatever he wanted. After all, he had the power AND the money. Do your research, folks.

Actually, this is true. Look at it this way. Youre an informant working in Jacksonville, FL in narcotics. You buy cocaine (which is a natural drug, (unlike crack,) harmless, like marijuana..(which caused the Amtrack accident of 1997, killing 16)...irrelevant, i know...) from local drug dealers. You pay anywhere from 20 bucks to 200 dollars for some coke. But where did they get it? Probably nearby, as they dont travel too far with it on them. Lets say...Miami. Atlanta. Virginia.

Okay so with this completely true and accurate argument the US government would be funding terrorism by keeping it illegal and not making the sales done locally, all for what? Knowingly damaging themselves at the worst? It seems other arguments are not working so they tried this crap.
