  • Is the js2400 one of the better guitar models to try the synth with? or can it work as welll with any guitar...

  • @DoctrinaBytes It works well with the JS2400 but other guitars are good for it too such as the Music Man Luke which is, for me, the best of the guitars I've used with a GK pickup and GR55...

  • @doha1696 Why would a Luke make such a difference... ?

I'm guessing the GK pickup fares better with a flatter radius then?

  • @Odiculeoj It can be that but there are a few parameters interfering all together : the types of wood (the resonnance's not the same), the type of trem, the way you installed the GK pickup, and then, your own settings on the GR55... It's true that the Luke fits very well to the GK (or the GK to the Luke as you want) but other guitars such as the JS of the video are also good "partners" to the GR55....

  • @doha1696 Actually I've been using the GR-55 with great success gigging with very loud funk bands .... Much to my surprise, as you stated, initially I thought it wouldn't. So in my experience the synth sounds have worked out just fine, so. I guess my question really is if the electric guitar patches & sounds on the GR-55 will also cut it through the Compact L1 ...?

  • @Odiculeoj Yes, I've used the L1 compact... It's really different from the L1 model II, for me, it's not adapted to live electric music... Acoustic maybe, for very small spaces suchs as bars or pubs but that's all. The sound diffusion is really reduced, the power too. I think it may be a good choice for conferences or school animations but not for rock'n roll "live" music....

  • @doha1696 Very well done .... great thanks to you for this demo ...

By chance, have you ran this through a Bose L1 Compact in comparison ...?

I too have the Bose L1 Model ...

but the Compact L1 is SO much easier to haul around for live gigging ... lol

  • That Nikon Guy Intro :P

  • @doha1696 I love the looks of the JS2400. Thanks for letting me know about Music Man and such. Happy playing!

  • nice little demo! that last patch looks disorienting to play!
