  • Is this max patch up for download anywhere? I'd like to have a look :)

  • @robfisher1

Lots of apps in Max/MSP and different languages free and open here:

  • Oh my God. You're such a winner, it's unbelievable. I was gonna get a Novation Launchpad or an APC40, but I think this might be a way better idea. I have to ask though: this would be compatible with Macs, right? I don't see why it wouldn't, but I figured I should ask anyway. (If it'd work the way I want it to, I'm totally pre-ordering one by the end of the week.)

  • yep!

I develop on both Mac and OSX!

  • Excellent. And it would be usable in Ableton Live as a control surface, right? (Not exactly like a Launchpad or APC, but similar; assigning a sound or something like that to each button.)

  • I don't have Ableton, but I see quite a few like that on Youtube. Also some apps and plenty of DIY at the Monome site, since "Max for Live" is now a reality.

  • Can't get this to work. At all.

  • This is probably a stupid question, but I really don't know anything about a monome. I do a lot of coding in SuperCollider and I've wanted to buy some kind of controller for some time. I've seen a lot of people write "patches" or "apps" for the monome, like that tenori-on "emulation." can you run these on the bliptronome, or is it more just like the monome in that it is a matrix of 64 toggle-able buttons? in any case, excellent work, and you can count on me ordering a kit from you soon!

  • Thanks! Truly amazing feat of "reverse engineering" or whatever you'd call it

Is "wait for VBlank" an Atari 8-bit programming reference? I once did that also.

May order your kit after I get more practice with a soldering iron ;-)

See my video using audio to midi control for BlipTronic to laptop connection.

  • Even more excellent. (Last question, I promise) If I were to send you a Bliptronic, would you mod it?(I'm assuming it'd cost more than the kit alone, but I'd rather pay extra & know that I'm not gonna potentially screw up, as I have in the past.)
