Bill 115 is a bill that was passed by the Liberal Government in the province of Ontario. This bill cuts teachers' wages and caps the yearly income of teachers. The bill also cuts down the amount of sick days teachers may take every year and takes away their ability to bank their sick days. Most importantly, this bill takes away the teacher's right to strike for the next 2 years. With no voice, the students are here to break that silence. As an act of protest the teachers' union has decided to no longer hold extra curricular activities at participating schools. Teachers have a big hand in student development. Many of their activities taking place after and during school are done voluntarily. It is from the kindness of their own hearts. We as students not only speak for ourselves but we also stand with and for the teachers that have educated us.
