Two examples are presented of how suppression of Native Americans in the
Western Hemisphere continues. Professor and author and political activist Ward Churchill of the American Indian Movement discusses the framing of Leonard Peltier for murder, a situation popularized by the recent movie "Incident at Oglala." Next, an Indian activist from the Peruvian Amazon basin describes what is happening to the ecology and to the culture
of his people as a result of oil exploration in his homeland.
