Just watched The iron Lady and i think Michelle Williams was better as Marilyn.

As always Meryl Streep gives the best performance, but with her 16 Oscar nominees and 2 wins, she already has made that clear. By that I mean that Michelle Williams also did an amazing perfomance, and I wouldn't be sad if Michelle was this year's winner. However, in my opinion Meryl should win.

meryl definitely deserved her oscar. michelle did too, just wish it would have came a year later or earlier so she could receive it. they really did amazingly. i want to see them in a film together.

@NoraPus1 The point I was trying to make was that an OSCAR WORTHY performance should be able to save a movie from being at the level of shittyness that The Iron Lady was. I even found My Week with Marilyn a bit dull, but Michelle's performance made it totally worthwhile for me.

@coreymitchelhoulden it wasn`t the movie they asked after. that category is "best movie", the ask for the best performance. The Iron Lady is not a good movie, but Streep play so good. I can agree with you that The Iron Lady sucked, but Streep`s performance is very good.
