This is the tactic of the gnat-staining Pharisee who rejects the glorious Son of God standing before His eyes uttering words hidden from before the foundation of the world, and yet the Pharisee, blind guide that he is, can only gnat-strain. I think one of the purposes of these petty snipings by KJV critics to to deflect legitimate criticisms of the modern versions. By keeping everyone occupied over these kinds of petty issues, the glaring faults of the modern versions are passed over. But thanks, Ed, for taking the time to clear the air.
