  • @t800m00 Manually installing App-V is fine, although in an enterprise scenario you want to deploy with SCCM as well.

There is no additional configuration of the App-V client needed. You need to enable Virtual Application Deployment in SCCM and SCCM configures the App-V client for you.

  • Hi, thx for the quick reply. Ive manually installed the APP-V client on a workstation. I wanted to know the path to point the client to on Distribution point. I took a guess at the SMSPCKG$ path but this path is giving me a user not authorised error.

  • @t800m00 App-V client settings are managed through Configuration Manager. It uses the override URL to locate the correct streaming server. Publishing server information is not used in a ConfigMgr integrated scenario.

  • Hi,

can you tell me what settings you have inside the APP-V client on the workstation please like the publishing server names etc.. thx
