I had an economics teacher that had an intense personality and yelled at the first person who talked to him like this in front of the entire class. He no longer dealt with unreasonable people like this again.

This doesn't surprise me as a TA. I generally don't deal with anything that bad. Most students get it. They ask nicely, and I say no, I am sorry, I am following the syllabus. You'll be fine if you've missed few classes and did most of the work. One student I felt was trying to use her race. I don't like dealing with that. Eventually, she was taught by someone of her own race and shot down.

Ughhhhhhhhhhh I hear this all the time. It drives me crazy. I keep saying no, no, no. It says in the syllabus.......It's like I'm not speaking English.
