  • 45 mins and no bad drivers, awsome, guess they are all hungover

  • @TheVexatiousLitigant Its really nice, epsecially when the drivers I do encounter do go right over to the other side of the road as the van man did. Its a really tight road too at that point.

  • Nice route! Don't push too hard.... spin! Think of your poor knees.

  • @xchopp Well yes, thats what I meant, spin faster. :-D Its all really local too, like 15 minutes away to get to roads like that.

  • @downfader2 Well I can talk.... started cycling last year and hammered a tad too hard, now I have to take it easier on my knees (the doc says no damage but I am more aware of them than before -- we'll see when it gets warm enough to get off the trainer and get outside).

  • @xchopp Have been cycling for many years myself. Family history of knee problems, too. I do a bit of running too, but find cycling more comfortable. I've had a few problems with them but the knowledge from the family problem means I still keep in good shape and avoid doing myself a mischeif :-)

I know what its like to push too hard when you're new at something, I think we all do it. You learn though, dont you. :-)

  • I try to go out every other Sunday with a bunch called "Leeds Cycle Action Group". We have a leader, a rough route, a destination, and a meeting place. How many turn up varies from 3 to 20, there is usually a variety of fitness levels and machinery, and we just have a nice cycle and a good time. Distance varies from 30 miles in the winter to 100 in the summer. There is nearly always an "escape route" back by train. It's a splendid way to explore the Yorkshire area.

  • @downfader2 Yea, it’s great when someone passes safely, even when it takes no effort it is nice to be shown some respect.
