Colonial Williamsburg is large "living history museum" in and around the original restored old buildings, streets, and squares of Williamsburg. During the colonial era, Williamsburg had been the capitol city of Virginia.

In the summer of 1972, we see there were many actors in period clothing playing many of the roles people had back when Virginia was a British colony. The re-enactments caught here on film were: driving coaches, a brick-forming operation, carting and shoveling clay for the bricks, making cotton paper, a small musical group in informal concert, shingle-making, and dowel-making.

This is an adequate transfer (via my webcam) of an 8mm film snippet. It was probably all filmed by my late father. There is no sound/audio.

Knowing how museums operate, I wonder how many of these "costumed interpreters" were volunteers.
