The rise in religion in the USA will see them losing ground in important areas of science. Religion is the product of a sort of intellectual vertigo. Why does this happen? God must will it. etc.

This isnt just confined to books , you can hike the Grand Canyon on fossil tours . You have to be brave enough to study and better yourself and realise the harm that has been done to you to have this attitude and unfamiliarity on this subject . The cult like psychological barriers in leaving YEC not easy (most are stuck for life).

@earlysda The geologic chart can only look comical if you have been indoctrinated into YEC and geology is alien to your mind . Willful ignorance is the only way creationism can survive , I've seen firsthand how YEC's raise their kids and the misstrust of science that is ingrained in them . You have psychological barriers that prevent you from learning and leaving YEC . An ordinary person can learn and comprehend the geologic column in less than half an hour .

@earlysda Understanding geologic ages is very simple , The older layers of strata are on the bottom , and the younger ones are on top .Each layer can be dated world wide ,Each geologic period has signifigant extintions and new species that have evolved that are absent in the earlier layers . The Ordovician fauna below the Creation museum differs markedly from the modern ones .The largest sea shell is under 5'' , the only fish are Jawless and like armored tadpoles.
