  • Lame

  • It is Simon Lailey

  • There seem to be several different versions of this kata; but they all look amazingly strong. How is it related to Sanchin, I wonder?

  • What it this school ?

    Who is the performer ?

  • I am a practitioner of Fukien White Crane in Taiwan. The Babulien (Chinese for Happoren) I have been taught is done almost exactly as how it's show in the video - lots of dynamic tension and hard breathing.

Based on my research comparing forms from different branches of White Crane, this is the original way of performing Babulien.

  • I'm surprised by this version.

Sensei Otsuka (Tadahiko) and sensei habersetzer both make it in a very different way, much more relax. Some movements seem also added in this version ... !!!???

  • Bueno que puedo decir un kata bien ejecutado desde un punto de vista "karateca" pero la rigidez del "kime" hace que pierda fluidez, aparte es más corto que otra version que ví. Entonces ¿cual es el verdadero Happoren?
