nahi nigaah mein manzil to justujuu hii sahii
nahi visaal mayassar to aarazuu hii sahii
na tan mein Khuun faraaham na ashk aankhon mein
namaaz-e-shauq to vaajib hai be-vazuu hii sahii
kisii tarah to jame bazm maikade vaalo
nahin jo baadaa-o-saaGar to haa-o-huu hii sahii
gar intazaar kaThin hai to jab talak ai dil
kisii ke vaada-e-fardaa kii guftaguu hii sahii
dayaar-e-Gair mein maharam agar nahin koi to 'Faiz'
zikr-e-vatan apane ruu-ba-ruu hi sahi
