V&A Jewellery Gallery - Enamelling a brooch

The video shows the enameller Jane Short making a brooch. Enamel is coloured glass. The glass is ground to a fine powder, then laid onto a metal surface and fired in a kiln at a great heat to make it melt and fuse. The design develops out of a series of rough sketches.

Did she use counter enamels?

beautiful expert show of enamelling. I'd like to know, did Jane use hard solder to put on the brooch fittings, or was it IT solder? Would really appreciate your input if you know. if there's a way to persist with hard solder then I know to keep trying!
