My experience on replacing the low trs 2 with the gotoh. Lot's of confusion out there on if the gotoh fits the Ibanez JS body and route...it does, perfectly. You're welcome.

  • how comes you didnt choose the edge pro like on the new js1000s?

  • @vi70h12 I wanted to experiment and do something different. I would have just bought a JS1000 to get that trem (which I still might do...I'm really digging the JS100 so a 1000 must really kick ass!)

  • @99voltsdotcom do i have to do some route on my js100 to fit in the original edge pro trem?

  • @fendi85fendi not sure about the edge trem

  • Hi!! Will it work out if I replace a Floyd Rose Special on a Schecter for that gotoh??

  • @andyalizaga not sure...only did it in this js

  • Hi man, Great vid. I have a Jem555 with the dreaded lo trs II. I'm guessing if your Gotoh swapped with your trs, then the Gotoh should swap on my jem!!! What do you like? Cheers Dude...

  • thank you sir

  • does anybody hav any idea if an Original Floyd Rose would be a good replacement with the Edge III cause ive been wanting to get rid of this thing in my Ibanez RG4EXQM1 so i can finally do dive bombs and not worry about my strings going out of tune

  • Thank you so much! I picked one up recently and have beat my head against the wall trying to get this turd to behave. T

  • thanks for sharing man!!!! helped alot!!

  • You have convinced me.. i have a ibanez i dont use with an edge 3 tremolo and honestly. its really bad.. always had problems with it since purchase day.. im sure this new gotoh is going to make a world of difference once i have the money to afford one.

  • Thank you, this video is really useful as I have found an old JS100 with Lo-TRS II and I was considering the Gotoh floyd. By the way, have you been able to reinstall the trem cover on the back? I have read that the Gotoh spring block is longer than the TRS one, and comes out too far. This is why many players leave their trem cavities open.

Did you experience the same problem? Is it possible to find a shorter block for the Gotoh and replace it?
