John could be considered the average American: he proudly runs his own business, believes in a strong work ethic, and is inadvertently on a journey to find out what he actually believes in. Conversing with everyone from a mainstream conservative pundit to an esoteric conspiracy theorist, he is bombarded by the beliefs, misinformation, and psychosis of those whom he encounters. Occurring at the same time as his voyage is a developing world news story that presents a threat to his beloved American way of life. As John's interactions are sampled from people all throughout the political spectrum, his farcical odyssey comes to represent a larger battle that all Americans face in the modern age of propaganda. Only by deconstructing the Orwellian dialogue of his peers can he finally reach a conclusion on what his world views actually are.
