As usually for songs from the 60's, it's the organ that makes the song.. Listen to Chest Fever (The Band), Gimme some lovin' (Spencer Davies group) etc.

This is Lulu's *best*
she's better known in the U.S.A. for "To Sir With Love" (she co-starred with Sidney Poitier in the surprise hit: its release was *delayed by 2 years* so dim were expectations), "Shout", and theme for "Man With A Golden Gun".
She had energy and wide-eyed sincerity which was *hers* alone---very much out-of-fashion now.
Yeah, we're so cool &hip & past all that.
I really believe that a large percentage of female "singers" today [*hawk-ptoo*] are actually *trannies*.
