The Mini Q-Tron has been replaced by the Micro Q-Tron. For more Micro Q-Tron product info, see:
http://www.ehx.com/products/micro-q-tron

The Micro Q-Tron is a smooth envelope filter with a funky wah-wah tone. The filter is controlled by its internal envelope follower, analyzing the volume of your notes and the dynamics of your playing to directly sweep the filter's center or cutoff frequency. A stronger attack or louder note will produce a wider frequency sweep while softer playing produces more subtle effects. Use the Q control to make the effect more dramatic.

* True bypass

* Drive control sets sensitivity and filter sweep range

* Selectable low pass, band pass or high pass filters

* Q control sets the filter's bandwidth from smooth to funky

* Tough and compact die-cast chassis

* 9-volt battery included

* Optional 96DC-200BI power supply available

  • I really want one of these, but they are impossible to find.

  • It was discontinued a while ago -- you should check out the Q-Tron, the Q-Tron Plus, as well as EHX's other envelope filters.

  • It's not the same as the Micro Q tron...I have both, and the Mini is so much sweeter. In fact, the Mini sounds hella better then the Big daddy Q tron! I guess it's just a matter of personal taste though...

  • Is there a sound difference between the Mini and Micro Q-Trons? I heard that this one sounds slightly smoother than the Micro Q-Tron. Great demo, by the way.

  • For the non-mini (the Electro-Harmonix Micro Q-Tron) do you need to turn your guitar down to get it to the sweet spot like you have to do with the Mod Tone Funk Filter or can you have you guitar at max 10 and have it sound sweet?

  • quite the volume sucker, eh?

  • i've got the Micro Q-Tron, it's exactly the same, except the box is smaller. GREAT pedal !
