A guy made this interactive thing with ferrofluid. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferrofluid it had two magnets, one in the top, one in the bottom. when people turned handles on the sides, it raised and lowered the magnets.

  • The Amount of fluid was about 12 oz. The distance from the top plate to the bottom plate was around 8 or 10 inches. maybe less.

  • Reminiscent of a fly's eye. What size scale are we looking at?

  • there were two magnets, one on top, one on the bottom. the magnets could be moved up and down by spinning dials on the sides. the closer the magnet was to the surface, the more tightly the liquid went together

  • So cool! How is it controlled?
